Percutaneous Coronary Intervention Fellowship Training (PCI Fellowship Training)
The Foundation sponsors year‑long, full‑time percutaneous coronary intervention fellowships for young cardiologists from Asia Pacific at leading centres globally. With the aim of transferring knowledge and techniques regarding interventional cardiology, the beneficiaries will have to commit to return to their home institutions to serve after completion of training.
Conference Participation and Sponsorship
The Foundation participates and provides sponsorship to support professional cooperation and knowledge exchange in major interventional cardiology conferences.
“Young Investigator Award” is awarded to outstanding young interventional cardiologists to encourage them to continue developing and excelling in interventional cardiology to ultimately benefit heart disease patients.
Chien Foundation Lifetime Achievement Award
Ongoing awards have been given to interventional cardiologists to recognize their efforts in advancing interventional cardiology or their outstanding contributions and leadership in interventional cardiology.
“Chien Foundation Lifetime Achievement Award” is awarded to distinguished interventional cardiologists to acknowledge and recognise their significant contribution in researching and developing interventional cardiology and mentoring the next generation of interventional cardiologists. The award has been highly regarded by the interventional cardiology professional community as “prestigious” and “distinguished”.
